Run Rig

Born in Korea, the Furi-rig (Free rig) it’s very simple. During the cast the sinker and softbait travel together, flying well and with ease of control. Hitting the water, the rig will separate in a fast sinking weight and a weightless falling softbait.

This rig, like a Jika-rig is able to efficiently penetrate heavy cover and sink to bottom rapidly with the advantage to be free on the line and virtually undetectable by fish during the bite.

The best way to use this rig is to exploit the softbait’s natural free fall, which provoke reaction bites.

By lift & fall, it shows a very attractive action.

Although straight baits (e.i.stickbaits) works well with the rig, the best results will be achieved using softbaits equipped by curly tails, u-tails or paddle tails. These baits are able to slowly glide and/or fall and substantially get away from the weight obtaining exactly what I call a running rig (from where the product’s name originates).

Given the high snagless capability, it’s good for covered area, weed as well as rock and tetrapods.
