Depth Charge Custom

The Depth Charge is the result of a research aimed to obtain a punching weight with outstanding performance.

The weight has been shaped to operate a positive weed displacement and open the way for the rigged soft bait.

The mass has been concentrated into a compact shape that reduces the surface of contact with the water plants.

During the descent, the skirt acts as a glove, protecting the soft bait from tearing.

The angled walls of the weight amplify the movement transmitted by the rod when the lure is on the bottom.

The skirt is hand-tied on the ExpanderCone.

All these features give the possibility to use less weight than a common bullet.

Tips'n Tricks

The Depth Charge can be used with success for pike fishing in covers constituted by weeds. We strongly suggest to use knottable leaders made of steel or nitinol. In order to make the rig interchangeable on the hook side, we suggest to use a split-ring instead of a clip. On the other side, in order to reduce weed snag, the best rigging option is a solid ring (as small as possible), eventually protected by a conical sleeve.

The Depth Charge can be dressed with Standard Cut Silicone as well as with Regular Grade Round Rubber. We strongly suggest the last one, being it more resistant.
